I do get a little weary of practising yoga in this same spot day in day out. I miss cosy studios, the post class cafe trips, and the lack of washing up that is always hiding in the background of my kitchen yoga sessions. But I know that if I do some yoga or mix it up with some barre classes or strength training I feel a hundred times better and it helps to provide some much needed structure to my days. I need the routine of it and that sensation of feeling slightly more capable after it (well at least for an hour or so!).

Looks inviting? 🤔 After a lot of dilly dallying and rebooking my slot to later time I finally made my post lockdown return to the lido this morning. And surprise..it was freezing! Like being stabbed with large icicles. None of my outdoor swimming kit had arrived yet (swim hat etc) so it was just me in a swimsuit against the cold. I thought I'd only make it through one length (or width as you no longer can swim the whole length at the moment) but managed a few more before I played it safe and got out. One flask of hot chocolate, a bath and a bowl of porridge later and I am now warm again.
